How it works?

At your home

Don’t have the time to visit a skin specialist to have that suspicious mole looked at?

We will come to you. We will come to your home or work at a time that is convenient to you. This is what you can expect.

1. First, make an online booking at a time that is convenient to you. Allow 1 hour for your appointment.
2. When you make your booking, we will need you to fill in a questionnaire. Allow about 15 minutes for this. The answers are important because it helps our doctors determine your risk factors. We also give you the ability to add any notes that you feel are important, for e.g. a mole that you have noticed a change in.
3. One of our trained mole imaging technologists will come to you. When they arrive, they will need a private well lit room that you feel comfortable in.
4. We recommend that you wear your underwear or bikini/brief style swimsuit for the process.
5. Our trained professionals will photograph all the visible moles that can be identified.
6. The information and images are uploaded to our server.
7. A report is sent to you after two independent skin specialist reviewed your information.
8. You receive a report with each image and its analysis. If there is an irregularity, the report will give you instructions. The report and images are yours.
9. When you book your next total body mole documentation service we will compare your new images against your previous ones. Again, these images are yours and you can take them to your own GP or skin specialist.

Our total body documentation system is designed to produce high resolution diagnostic images and creates an online profile for your individual moles that is monitored for changes over time.

“What if I think I have only one suspicious mole?” Unfortunately you may have already have waited too long. Don’t wait until you see a suspicious mole!

The most important aspect of our service is having a full body mole documentation where we are working to maximise the chance to find melanoma in its early stages.

Can I give a service as a gift?
A: Yes you can. It’s the gift that could help save a life.

Where is your service available?
A: At present, our service is only available within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. We will be expanding throughout Australia. Leave us your details and we will contact you when our service becomes available in your area.

What should I wear or not wear?
A: We ask that you do not wear or remove makeup, nail polish, foundation, lipstick and moisturiser. We ask that during the imaging process that you only be wearing your underwear or bikini/brief style swimwear.

What happens after I make a booking? What should I expect?
A: Our trained mole imaging technologists will visit your home or work. In a comfortable well lit room they will capture high resolution images of your moles across your body. The process usually takes about 1 hour. Following this, you will receive a report that has examined each mole image. The images are also stored online for your own access.

What happens after you take the images of my moles?
A: Your images are analysed by 2 independent medical skin specialists who identify any irregularities or issues. You will receive a report with the findings and any recommendations. Your images are also available online for your own use.

Why should I use your service? Can’t my GP check my moles?
A: A number of GPs are trained to analyse your moles. We offer a service that collects high resolution images of your moles over your entire body. This produces a database of information that helps in the continued early prevention of skin cancers. Also, we come to you!

Why does the process take so long?
A: We are not interested in rushing the process. It is important that we collect good images of your moles across your body.

Do you really come to me?
A: Yes. Convenience and your comfort is part of the service.

Do I need referral to use your service?
A: No, there is no need for a GP referral before using our service.

Are there any rebates for your service?
A: Some private health funds offer rebates for melanoma imaging. Please contact your health provider to confirm. Unfortunately there is currently no Medicare rebate available for this service.

What happens if my report shows any irregularities?
A: If your report identifies any irregularities, we recommend that you see your GP or skin cancer specialist immediately for further treatment.

Do you remove moles?
A: No, our service is a diagnostic one.

How often should I your service?
A: That really depends on your risk factors. Following your first assessment we can send you a reminder when your next check would be recommended.

Is the process painful?
A: No the process is pain free.

What can I do with my images?
A: The images that we collect belong to you and are for your own records. You may choose to share them with your GP or skin specialist if you have any irregularities identified.
